I got my start in photography during grade school where I often remember taking pictures with a disposable 35mm camera. I kept photography as a hobby throughout highschool when I got my first digital camera. My ideas surrounding photography developed into documentation during my time in the United States Military. The Idea of taking a limited experience and showing the outside world intrigued me and lead me to use the camera as a tool of discovery. I attended Columbia College in Chicago and fell in love with the amazing amount of control the photographer has in the studio. The ability to isolate emotive qualities in people became my love and portraiture my final calling. It is my passion to capture the spirit and enbodyment of the subject I am shooting. I need look no farther than people for a subject matter that will never become dull. |
